Series of photographs. Galicia 2007 - 2012

For years, every time I have visited my parent's home, I have buried the chicken hutch.

With this action, which I carry out on the day I arrive, I desperately seek to re-establish recognition of the place. This work is a kind of "licence" to occupy a medium stirred up by my return.

Enterraba hasta el cuello todas las gallinas del corral de mi familia cada vez que visitaba su casa en Galicia. Es lo primero que hacía al llegar. Implicaba para mi un "movimiento" de reconocimiento y pertenencia a ese lugar, que contiene, aún, una profunda e inestable provocación en la memoria e intimidad.
